Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Portland .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

    Andrea was awesome very helpful showed me different technique. It was a fun afternoon of taking the street photography in Portland.     I did not know what to expect. being outside and the weather was cool. Thought it should have been inside a classroom setting to start out with. Being at the waterfront park had it's distractions of a public park dealing with people and noise of this location. But I did learn more about photography skills which is what I had hoped to do.

    After reached the top of Cooper Spur at 8510 ft on the east side of Mt Hood, we retreated to the stone shelter at 6800 ft for snow camping in 02/03/2024.     Taken at Fort Steven's, OrOn 11/10/22.Friends were visiting and we ended up going on a adventure. Was showing them fort Steven's and the beach. It was around sunset, as they were playing in the water, picking up seashells, and walking on the beach when I took this shot. Was perfect timing for the shoots I took cause the whole beach glowed with color from the sunsetting.     My family participates in the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. This year I took my camera and captured the excited faces and all the selfies that I could. My favorite happened to be my daughter and son in law. The funny thing was that when I got home and looked at Facebook my daughter had posted her photo with a big arrow pointing to me taking their pic from behind.

    As a deep space photographer, I like to take photos of outer space targets that our eyes cannot see. These photos require a lot of patience and a lot of clear nights reason why my telescopes are working almost every night when it isn't cloudy. Astrophotography is very different from all the other types of photography, a single photo sometimes requires tens of hours under the clear night sky but the result is very satisfying.In this photo, I would like to present to you the California Nebula

    This is part of a huge street art display, a real gem in Leeds. I loved the different displays of hands walking, creates a real sense of movement and intrigue. Photo was taken around 11am.
